Annual Naadam Festival lasts for up to 3 days throughout Mongolia between 10-13 July. BUT if you couldn’t make your trip during these days, we can provide the Nomadic Naadam and you still can experience it.


DETAIL TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1. ARRIVE IN ULAANBAATAR
After meeting in Ulaanbaatar, transfer to hotel have a quick rest and have welcome dinner at one of the best restaurant in the city. Overnight stay at hotel.


DAY 2. BAGA GAZRIIN CHULUU
After breakfast at hotel we will start our trip to Baga Gazriin Chuluu. A picturesque Mountain Baga Gazriin Chuluu is one of the most attractive areas of the Gobi Desert. The area has got many species of wild animals and birds, such as ibex, argali, vultures, hawks and eagles. At the ruins, there are some mineral water springs and trees on top of the beautiful rocky hills. On the way we will stop for a lunch at Zorgol Khairkhan Mountain, and then we will continue drive to the first campsite of our trip. Once we get there, we will have free time to wander around the mountains and do some hiking. We will stay overnight in this area and have dinner.


DAY 3. TSAGAAN SUVARGA
After having breakfast at the campsite, we will drive to Tsagaan Suvarga /White Stupa/. In the afternoon, we will reach to the destination and explore to see white stupa and walk around. Tsagaan Suvarga, an amazing series of cliffs, white and pink limestone rock formations taking the appearance of stalagmites up to 30 meters high. It is an excellent site for taking photography of the beautiful panoramic views.

We will stay overnight in this area and have dinner.


DAY 4. YOLIIN AM /VULTURE VALLEY/
After having breakfast, we will start driving to Vulture valley, which is a deep narrow gorge in the Gurvan Saikhan Mountains of the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park. On the way, you will see the most unexpected flowers and plants in the desert. Also, a thousand of camels. Afterwards, we will relax, take a shower and have lunch in the ger camp near by Dalanzadgad city, and then head to Vulture Valley. There is a small natural museum at the entrance of the National park which exhibits a collection of dinosaur eggs, bones, stuffed birds and snow leopard. This place is also very rich by the rare plants.

After we seeing the museum at the entrance, we will go to the Ice gorge. During winter time, the stream freezes several km into the gorge. It remains frozen for most of the year, except late summer. We will see the ice gorge until end of the July.
Drive to the Ger camp, stay there for tonight and have dinner.


DAY 5. KHONGORIIN ELS SAND DUNES
After having breakfast, we will drive to the sand dunes called Khongoriin Els. The Khongoriin Els sand dunes lie north of the Baruun saikhan Mountain in the northern part of the Sevrei and Zuulun Mountains. The KhongoriinEls is one of the largest and most spectacular sand dunes in Mongolia and they are up to 200m high, 12km wide and about 100km long. The largest dunes are at the northwest corner of the range. You can climb to the top of the sand dunes and then slide back down on the plastic bags. The views of the desert from the top are wonderful. Climbing to the top of the dunes during the sunset gives you an amazing panoramic view of the surrounding desert, to the north lies the Khongoriin River. On the way, we will have lunch picnic in the middle of the road, if we are lucky enough, we will see the symbolic animal of the Gobi Desert Black tailed gazelle and Mongolian wild ass.

When we get to sand dune, we will stay in the nomadic family to know more about the Gobi lifestyle of locals.

Later on, ride a camel and climb to the Mongolian highest desert peak to enjoy the sunset.

Overnight stay in the nomadic family and have dinner.


DAY 6. FLAMING CLIFFS
After having breakfast this morning, we will drive to the Bayanzag which is an important fossil finds have been made. The name was given by American paleontologist Roy Chapman who visited there in the 1920s. The area is the most famous place for finding the first discovery of dinosaur fossils. There is a picturesque forest the place is named after and colorful rocks which is brilliantly colorful. We will stay overnight in Ger camp, lunch and dinner will be served in the camp.


DAY 7. ONGI MONASTERY
After having breakfast, we will drive to Ongi monastery which is located in Saihan-Ovoo soum of Dundgovi province. The unique part of the monastery is it’s in the halfway historical point between the two major travel destinations-the South Gobi and the Karakorum. Our lunch will be served on our way. We will have dinner in the camp near by Ongi monastery and stay overnight.


DAY 8. KHARAKHORUM /ERDENE ZUU MONASTERY/
After having breakfast at the camp, we will head to Kharakhorum. On the way to our destination, even though you are sitting but your eyes will be running with a herd of horses and herds, observing the pure nomadic lifestyle feeling the fascinating pristine nature.

Mongolia's ancient capital, Karakorum, Chinggis Khaan's fabled city, was founded in 1220 in Orkhon valley, at the crossroads of the Silk Road. It was land of the Mongol Empire governed, until Khubilai Khaan moved the capital  to Beijing. On the ruin of the Karakorum, Mongolian first and largest Buddhist monastery-Erdene Zuu was built in 1586.

Stay overnight at guest house and have dinner.


DAY 9. NOMADIC NAADAM
After breakfast we will visit Kharakhorum Museum and Erdene Zuu Monastery. Drive to participate the Nomadic Naadam festival. On the way to there we will stop by Elsen tasarkhai sand dunes to have lunch. When we arrive at Mongol Nomadic tourist camp which is 50km from Ulaanbaatar to the west there you will enjoy the Nomadic Naadam. In there you will experience the traditional music, traditionally dressed locals as well as the Naadam competitors: wrestlers, archers and horse trainers and jockeys with their horses. And have dinner in the camp restaurant and stay overnight.


DAY 10. DRIVE BACK TO ULAANBAATAR
After having breakfast drive back to Ulaanbaatar city. Send off…
